so he doesn't really own anything except his clothes/mask, which aren't treated badly at all so much as they come from a highly utilitarian society; they're just sort of Things more or less. the same goes for whatever he might end up using creation magic to form; both that and his clothes are sort of just wished into existence by pulling together ambient magic, to put it simply.
